What is an NIP (Notice of Intended Prosecution)?
A Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP form) is issued to inform a potential defendant that they may be prosecuted for a committed offence. Reasons for issue include (but are not limited to) Speeding, contravening a red traffic light or dangerous driving.
