A short walk of around 40 metres to reach the escalator going down to the parking.

Turn right immediately after the arrival exit door.
Walk straight and pass by the terminal 2 arrival area until you reach the escalator going down to the car park.

Hiring a car at Riyadh King Khalid Intl. Airport - Terminal 1 (RUH)

You'll find Enterprise Rent-a-Car right at the exit of King Khalid International Airport Terminal 1. This is an ideal location, as you can pick up your car and easily drive off.

It takes about half an hour to drive from the airport to the centre of Riyadh. The airport is located to the north of the city, approximately 35 km away. Use car hire in King Khalid International Airport T1 to easily get downtown. The well-named Airport Road will take you all the way to the centre.

With car and van hire in King Khalid International Airport T1, you'll soon realise that Riyadh is a very easy city to navigate. This is a modern city with a clear grid layout. Two roads you should be aware of are King Fahad Road, which runs north-south, and the North Ring Road, which runs east-west. These are the city's main arteries and will be very helpful when you are travelling to different areas around Riyadh.

King Khalid International Airport primarily serves the city of Riyadh in Central Saudi Arabia. If you are planning a longer road trip that will take you to other parts of the country, this won't be a problem. Saudi Arabia has an excellent network of well-maintained highways connecting all its cities. For example, Routes 40 and 80 will take you to Dammam. This journey is 400 km, but there are smooth, excellent road surfaces all the way. The only thing to keep in mind is that distances in Saudi Arabia can be very long between cities, so plan your trip carefully.

Rental Policies

All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. All additional drivers must appear at the rental counter, present their driving licence and sign the rental agreement. Additional drivers can only be added to the contract at the start of the rental at the pick-up location. An additional driver fee of 25.00 SAR per day applies for each additional driver.

The minimum age requirement to rent all vehicles is 25. The maximum age to rent in 70. Renters between the age of 18 and 24 may rent the categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate Sedan, Small SUV, Economy SUV, Intermediate SUV. No additional fees apply to young drivers.

Vehicles can be driven in GCC countries and its permitted only for Saudi citizens and GCC nationals. Ferry crossings with the vehicles are not permitted. A cross border fee of 75 SAR plus Vat per rental applies. In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require authorization. Customers are required to inform the rental branch about any cross border travel at least 3 hours in advance. Unauthorized cross border travel will result in a breach of contract and incur a penalty charge of 5000 SAR.

CDW - Collision Damage Waiver provides excess coverage for damage applied to the body of the vehicle. It does not cover damage to tires, windshields or the underbody of the vehicle during the rental. In case of vehicle accident/damage, a police report should be provided of the incident and rental will be responsible with an excess amount which ranges from 2000 SR - 5000 SR depending on the vehicle group.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.

Fuel policy will be full to full. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, customer will be charged for fuel difference based on local fuel prices plus refueling fees. Refueling fees will be calculated as follows: If a customer returns the vehicle with a quarter of a tank or less (0 to 25%), refueling fees will be 50 SAR plus tax. If a customer returns with half tank (50%), refueling fees will be SAR 40 plus tax, and if a customer returned the vehicle with three quarters of a tank (75% -100%), customer will be charged for SAR 20 plus tax.

The booking duration of existing contracts cannot be extended. If the customer desires to extend their rental, they must create a new booking and visit the branch to close their current contract and execute the new booking. In case extending the rental period with the same booking, any additional days will be calculated based on the local rates. A refund will not be issued for returning the car early.

The accepted payment types for rental amount are cash, debit cards, and credit cards such as: Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. While security deposit is only accepted by credit cards.
 

Driver's licenses must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of vehicle return (rental agreement period). Digital driving licenses are only accepted for Saudi citizen and residents. Holders of the international driving license are required to show their passport and visitor's visa at the time of rental as an additional form of ID. Customers with international driving license are allowed to rent the vehicle for the first 90 days upon their arrival to the country. If they wish to continue the rental, they should inform the rental branch after they get the Saudi license and residency card. Visitors holding Umrah/Hajj visas are not allowed to rent and Holders of a multiple/single exit re-entry visas are also not allowed to rent a car.

Third Party Liability coverage is included in all rates and provides cover for third parties and property in the event of an accident up to the coverage limit of SAR 10,000,000 - 10 million Saudi Riyals. A police report is mandatory in the event of an accident and a deductible amount of SAR 1500 will apply.
