Cape Town International Airport is a 19-minute drive from the city centre along the M62 heading west. It's right in the thick of the two townships, which are Gugulethu and Khayelitsha, in the south. Elsies River and Blue Downs can be found to the southwest.

If you've arranged a car hire in Cape Town International Airport CPT, simply climb onto the M62 and head west. You'll pass several key urban zones along the way, including Observatory, Woodstock and Claremont. If you're heading south, you can rely on the R300 or M7, which carries you to the massive N1 City Mall. The M62 will carry you past Khayelitsha and towards Somerset West in the southeast. This is where the exquisite Sir Lowry's Pass is located. If you're heading to the Winelands, you can head east along the M12 or M23. The M10 and R300 will carry you to Belville and Durbanville.
