Parking and Traffic Information in Hampshire
Hampshire has an excellent road network, with the M27 and the M3 connecting the country to the rest of the UK, as well as quiet country lanes through the New Forest and along the coastal villages that are very appealing for a motoring holiday. In Southampton city centre, it is worth noting that a pay and display system operates for roadside parking in weekdays, and there are numerous long stay and short stay car parks. Winchester town centre car parks can get very busy, especially during peak periods, so visitors might consider parking at one of the park and ride car parks just outside the town and taking a shuttle bus into the centre.
