Welcome to Enterprise Rent-A-Car Lorient page where you will find a wide range of vehicles to choose from to fit exactly what you are looking for at great rates.
On the southern coast of Brittany, Lorient is a fairly new town in Morbihan, founded in the 17th century. It offers visitors elements of international history mingled with an interesting heritage and lovely countryside. The town was the home of the East Indies Company in 1664, and shortly afterwards, a French Royal Navy base opened. Damaged during World War II, the town has been lovingly restored and is now known as "the five port city", with fishing, military, passenger, commercial and yachting ports. Lorient benefits from two Enterprise branches; one to the northeast of the town at Lorient Lanester, around three miles from the town centre and conveniently located on the main N165 route. The other Enterprise branch is at Lorient South Brittany Airport, a 14-minute drive east of the city and ideal for those arriving by plane.
Lorient car hire with Enterprise boasts an excellent range of vehicles for those on business or visiting the region on holiday. Hire a compact car for economy and efficiency, especially if nipping around the towns and parking are on your agenda. An economy car will also save you money, providing an excellent standard of vehicle. However, if you like to travel in style, book a luxury car for your journey. Hire a people carrier if you need more space for multiple passengers and luggage, or an SUV for driving around the French countryside.

Lorient South Brittany Airport at Lann Bihoue is west of the town and the two main airlines that fly into and out of the main terminal are Air France and Ryanair. This is ideal for those coming from London Stanstead. The airport is conveniently right by the E60 motorway, providing excellent access towards Brest in the northwest and Nantes in the southwest. In the terminal building, you'll find facilities such as a snack bar and a shop, a cash machine, Wi-Fi, and of course, the Enterprise branch.
If you're interested in ships and the sea, visit the Cite de la Voile Eric Tabarly, which has many hands-on activities for everyone. If you'd like to know more about sailing, this is the right place, with interactive displays that can be technical but are very inspiring. The Flore Submarine base is a lovely little museum where you can learn about submarines, then take a walk through a 1960s French vessel. Visit the Musee de la Compagnie des Indes, which educates you about the history of this fascinating company, providing an interesting experience with plenty to see. Then, escape to the great outdoors at the Etang du Ter to walk, run and enjoy the countryside.
A visit to the pretty Ile de Groix just south of Lorient is a must! Park near the ferry port and take the short 30-minute boat ride to Port Tudy. There, you'll find stunning views and a beautiful island that's ideal for a picnic. Escape the hustle and bustle of the town of Lorient by driving to the coastline in your hire car. One there, visit Larmor-Plage, a little like Brittany's Riviera. Nearby, Lomener is a nice stop-off before driving on to see the 18th-century Fort-Bloqué. The Guidel-plages are great for surfers, and Bas-Pouldu beach has a changing landscape with wooded areas and sandbanks.
You shouldn't have any problem parking your hire car in Lorient. The town has numerous public car parks, such as the Parking Place d'Armes, and parking at the ports, offering central access to the town and its attractions. As a fairly small town, driving should be relatively easy. However, a satnav is always beneficial to help you navigate, especially as there are some one-way streets. The town benefits from a ring road, which is the D465 to the west, providing good access to the town.
