Travellers must also have proof of intent to depart, such as a return ticket to their departure country. Visas are not required for citizens of: the United States and its territories, Canada, the United Kingdom and its territories, the European Union, the Caribbean and Central American countries.

  8. Hol Chan Marine Reserve – a marine reserve close to Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, off the coast of Belize. It covers almost 7 miles of coral reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove forest. Fun fact: Hol Chan is Mayan for "little channel".
