Pristina International Airport is located 19 km southwest of Pristina's centre in a rural region close to the suburban areas of Henc and Vrella. The journey from the city centre to the airport takes roughly 29 minutes by road. The route involves taking the Airport Prishtina Road for the M9 (E851), which then connects with the city centre. For access from the south, take the R7 and R6 for the M2.
Pristina International Airport is Kosovo's only international airport and an important hub for the country at large. It provides a wide variety of flights throughout Europe and sees several million passengers per year. The busiest routes through Pristina are Zürich, Vienna, Basel, Geneva, Istanbul, Düsseldorf, London, Stuttgart and Memmingen. Seasonal flights to Antalya, Bodrum, Bremen and Dortmund are also available, among other destinations.
Pristina International Airport serves the Kosovo capital, its surrounding region and the wider country. A network of highways and state roads allows for access to Mitrovica, Gjakova, Ferizaj, Prizren and Gjilan, among other locations in Kosovo. The capital boasts a wide range of attractions accessible with a car hire in Pristina International Airport. These include the Museum of Kosovo and its Emin Gjiku ethnographic annexe and a must-visit Bear Sanctuary in Mramor just east of the capital.
